A desire to help others...

The foundation of MTC was brought about in 1990 by the initiative of a group of people who saw a business opportunity to provide a service that would assist those in need. It was this desire to help others that was to be the guiding principles for a strict work ethic aimed at guaranteeing customer satisfaction.
Initially the services were carried out by MTC members who drove all over the Maltese Islands, in thier own trucks, at any time of the day, no matter what distance, to provide a much valued service to those in need.

Their determination and belief proved to be successful. MTC started operating as a provider for Touring Club 1991. Eventually on the 26th of August 1993, MTC became a Co-operative as more like-minded providers joined forces. MTC opened its first outlet at Ta’ Xbiex seafront in Msida.

An early reputation for reliability and security...

At the time, MTC had installed 32 telephone booths around Malta and Gozo for clients use. Nowadays these are not needed as most people use mobile phones.

As MTC's good standing within the business and local communities was further developed, rapid growth subsequently followed.

Major expansions...

To meet the growing demands of its ever-expanding list of clients, a new more centrally located office was opened in St. Sylvester St., Mosta in March 1994.

Additionally, a major expansion in the company operations was the opening of the MTC Repair Centre and office in Fort Road, Mosta in May 2006.
Offering mechanical / panel beating services, spray painting, battery replacements etc., the MTC Repair Centre now plays an important part in the overall range of services in being able to offer complete security to customers.

In todays business operations, the original underlying principles continue to be central to the code of practice. MTC boasts of a group of dedicated and professional staff ranging from the administrative section to the technical division where experienced mechanics/drivers offer a quick and safe service to all its members.

To do this, MTC has at its disposal a dedicated fleet of recovery vehicles.
